Karnataka Streets

We've made it to Goa, but I've got a lot of catching up to do. Even here, in a world-class beach town, an Internet connection is slow and somewhat unreliable. These photos are from Wednesday, 19 Feb. -- before boarding the train.

Karnataka is mostly rural, with prosperous agriculture. Almost everyone seems to have a cow tied up outside their door.

A typical village street -- as is the photo below.

In Bannur, the local temple was having their annual festival. The children came running to the bus to wave "hi".
