Jampore Beach

Thursday, 6 April 2017

After visiting Moti Daman, we went to nearby Jampore Beach. This beach is very popular with locals, although, again, we had never really had the chance to visit. I’m told that it is jam-packed on weekends.

The muddy/sandy beach has a continuous line of cafés between the forested parking lot and the Arabian Sea. The cafés have covered areas for sitting.
Looking north to Moti Daman.
Like all the beaches we’ve seen, there are remnants of small pujas and offerings made on the beach and the ocean. Immersion in the nearest body of water (river, sea, lake) is a powerful spiritual act for Hindus. (Pictures from Juhu Beach in 2015.)
Parasailing on the beach. (Not for us!!!!)
We enjoyed tender coconut juice.
