Today we're traveling from Thimphu to Punakha over the Dochu La (10,300 ft high pass). Along the way we stopped at the large Buddha statue just south of Thimphu.

| While the main building and statue were dedicated in September 2015, it's clear that there's still a lot of site work left to be done. We exited the complex via what is clearly to be the main set of stairs to the monument -- still needing the finishing touches. This perspective gave some interesting views of Buddha's head. |
