Despite the chilly water temperature (< 50°F) and the cool air temperatures (50 - 60°F), rafting on the Mo Chhu was a very pleasant experience.
Despite the chilly water temperature (< 50°F) and the cool air temperatures (50 - 60°F), rafting on the Mo Chhu was a very pleasant experience.

| On our way to our put-in site, we passed numerous rice fields with cattle eating the stubble (and adding their fertilizer in the process). |

| We were in two rafts for this trip. Obviously, this is the raft we were not in! |

| The take-out site is just below the Punakha Dzong and the confluence of the Mo Chhu (mother/female river) and the Pho Chhu (father/male river). They meet at the dzong to form the Punak Tsang Chhu ("wide river at Punakha"). |
